SEOUL-- South Korea's terms of trade were unchanged in June from a year earlier, as prices of exports and imports gained at the same rate, data showed Tuesday.

The nation's net barter terms of trade index for goods stood at 100.82 last month, showing no change from the same month in 2016, according to the preliminary data released by the Bank of Korea (BOK).

The index is calculated by dividing the index for export prices by that for import prices. The base year is 2010 with a benchmark of 100.

Compared with a month earlier, the BOK index rose 0.2 percent.

The data also showed that the country's income terms of trade for June reached 145.69, rising 2.3 percent from a year earlier.

The index measures how much can be imported with the total export value.
