Seoul: LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault visited a Louis Vuitton store at Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul on Monday during his first trip to South Korea in three years. The visit marked a significant moment for the luxury brand as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the Asian market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the head of the world's largest luxury house was accompanied by Delphine Arnault, CEO of Christian Dior Couture. The duo visited The Louis Vuitton Visionary Journeys Seoul, a large-scale experimental space featuring exhibition areas and restaurants, which was inaugurated inside the department store in November last year.
Industry sources indicate that Arnault is also expected to make visits to Louis Vuitton stores located at other local department stores, including those operated by Lotte Group. This visit underscores LVMH's commitment to expanding its footprint in South Korea, which has become a vital luxury market in Asia due to strong consumer demand and the global influence of Korean pop culture.
LVMH, which controls over 65 prestigious brands across five sectors, including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany and Co., Celine, and Sephora, continues to maintain its leadership in the luxury industry through strategic market expansions and engagements.
