South Korea Announces 26-Man Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Seoul: South Korea has unveiled its 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The team, featuring a blend of domestic and international talent, will be looking to make a mark on the global stage.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the squad includes three goalkeepers, namely Jo Hyeon-woo from Ulsan HD FC, Kim Seung-gyu of FC Tokyo, and Song Bum-keun from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The defense is bolstered by players such as Kim Min-jae of Bayern Munich and Cho Yu-min from Sharjah FC, along with other notable names like Lee Han-beom (FC Midtjylland) and Kim Tae-hyeon (Kashima Antlers).

The midfield sees a strong lineup with Yang Hyun-jun from Celtic FC and Paik Seung-ho of Birmingham City FC leading the charge. Other midfielders include Hwang In-beom (Feyenoord Rotterdam) and Kim Jin-gyu (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors), among others. The forward line is spearheaded by Oh Hyeon-gyu of Besiktas and the renowned Son Heung-min from Los Angeles Football Club, supported by Cho Gue-sung from FC Midtjylland.
