BIDEN ARRIVES IN JAPAN AS NORTH KOREA IGNORES DIALOGUE PROPOSAL

US President Joe Biden headed today to Japan, the second leg of his first Asian tour, aimed at confirming Washington’s commitment to the region, which is overshadowed by the possibility of North Korea conducting a nuclear test after ignoring the United States’ call for dialogue, as reported by AFP.

Biden left South Korea and his plane landed at Yokota Air Base outside the capital of Japan, where he will meet Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the emperor tomorrow, and will also announce a multilateral trade initiative led by the United States.
