Daewoo EandC Finalizes Construction of India’s Longest Sea Bridge in Mumbai

SEOUL – Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co. announced on Tuesday the completion of a significant sea bridge construction project in Mumbai, India, conducted in collaboration with the Tata Group.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Sea Link, spanning 21.8 kilometers, was completed in partnership with Tata Projects Ltd. The project, which began in 2018, represents the longest bridge in India. The South Korean company was responsible for the construction, design, procurement, and project management of a 7.8-kilometer maritime section of the bridge and one of its interchanges. With the opening of the bridge, the travel time between Mumbai and the neighboring satellite city of Navi Mumbai is anticipated to be significantly reduced, from two hours to approximately 30 minutes.
