SEOUL – The financial woes of E-Mart Inc. persisted into the fourth quarter of 2023, with the company disclosing a net loss of 107.1 billion won (US$80.1 million), marking a downturn from the 140.7 billion won profit achieved in the same period of the prior year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, The operating loss for the October-December quarter was reported at 85.5 billion won, compared to a 12.8 billion won profit a year earlier. Additionally, E-Mart’s revenue for the quarter declined by 1.6 percent to 7.35 trillion won, as detailed in a regulatory filing.
