Hancom Set to Launch AI-Based Assistance Software in 2024

SEOUL – Hancom Inc., a South Korean office software company, announced plans to introduce an artificial intelligence-based assistance software in 2024.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the software, tentatively named Hancom Assistant, is expected to be released in a trial version in the first half of 2024. During a business strategy presentation in Seoul, Kim revealed that the Hancom Assistant would be based on a smart document creation engine integrated with various large language models (LLMs). The software aims to provide functionalities akin to Microsoft’s Copilot, enabling it to understand and analyze user requests through natural language and automatically generate documents. Additionally, Hancom’s ambition is to rank among the global big tech players within the next five years.
