High-Level Delegations from Russia, Vietnam, and China Visit North Korea for Workers’ Party Anniversary


Pyongyang: High-ranking officials from Russia, Vietnam, and China have arrived in North Korea to participate in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the country’s ruling Workers’ Party.



According to Yonhap News Agency, a Russian delegation led by Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, has made its way to Pyongyang for the anniversary celebrations. This visit underscores the diplomatic ties and the significance of the event in North Korea’s political calendar.



Additionally, Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s arrival in Pyongyang marks the first visit by a Chinese premier to North Korea in 16 years. This visit signifies a renewal of diplomatic gestures between the two countries, as Li’s visit follows former Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s trip to North Korea in October 2009. The participation of these high-level delegations highlights the importance of the anniversary in fostering international relations in the region.
