SEOUL – HL Mando Co. reported a significant turnaround in its financial results for the fourth quarter, posting a net profit of 40.7 billion won (US$30.6 million), a sharp recovery from a loss of 89 billion won in the same period a year earlier. In its regulatory filing on Monday, the company disclosed that its operating income for the October-December period was 50.6 billion won, an 11 percent decrease from the previous year, while sales saw a marginal increase of 0.4 percent to 2.19 trillion won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, The reported operating profit was 40.0 percent lower than the average estimate by analysts, according to Yonhap Infomax, a financial data firm affiliated with Yonhap News Agency. The expected net profit figures were not disclosed.
This fourth-quarter performance marks a significant recovery for HL Mando, contrasting with the financial losses experienced a year prior and highlighting the company’s efforts to improve its financial health and operational outcomes.
