Hyundai Motor Reports 1.8% Increase in January Sales

Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's largest car manufacturer, reported a 1.8% increase in sales for January, largely attributed to strong international demand. The company disclosed that it sold 315,555 vehicles during the month, an improvement from the 310,123 units sold in the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, overseas sales witnessed a 2.8% increase, totaling 265,754 units, while domestic sales experienced a 3.3% decline, settling at 49,819 units. In the South Korean market, Hyundai's sedan sales, including 3,653 Grandeur models, reached 8,753 units. Sales of recreational vehicles, such as the Santa Fe, accounted for 20,255 units. A Hyundai official emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing its sales and production system to meet regional demands and adapt to local market policies.
