SEOUL — Jungkook, a member of the global K-pop sensation BTS, has achieved the top spot on iTunes Top Songs charts in 96 countries with his new single “Never Let Go,” according to BigHit Music. Released just yesterday, the song has quickly climbed the charts, securing the number one position in nations including the United States and Italy by 9 a.m. the following morning.
According to Yonhap News Agency, “Never Let Go” is a tribute to BTS’ fans, known as ARMY, and expresses Jungkook’s appreciation for their unwavering support. The release coincides with the 2024 FESTA, an annual event celebrating the anniversary of BTS’ debut. This year’s festivities, which started Sunday and will continue until next Thursday, feature both online and offline events. The celebrations include “Bang Bang Con,” a free online event showcasing the group’s iconic concerts, and a live event at the Seoul Sports Complex, the main venue for this year’s festival.
