Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) experienced minor fluctuations across different terms, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information division of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m. today.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week and 6-month KORIBOR rates remained unchanged at 2.50% and 3.12%, respectively, compared to the previous session. The 1-month rate also held steady at 2.64%. However, slight increases were observed in other terms, with the 2-month rate rising from 2.77% to 2.78% and the 3-month rate increasing from 2.92% to 2.93%. Conversely, the 12-month rate experienced a decrease, moving from 3.57% to 3.55%.
These rates are crucial indicators as they are used by banks to determine the interest rates on loans and other financial products. The slight fluctuations suggest adjustments in the interbank lending market, which could impact borrowing and lending activities.
