KOSPI 200 Sees Decline in Major Stocks Amid Mixed Performance

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced notable declines across several major stocks, with a few exceptions, as trading concluded. Among the companies showing a downward trend, HANMISemi closed at 251,000, a decrease of 9,500, while Samsung Life fell by 9,000 to close at 210,500. KTandG, on the other hand, saw an increase, closing at 159,200, up by 2,100.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant decliners included Shinsegae, which dropped by 8,500 to 300,500, and LG Innotek, which saw a substantial decrease of 14,500, closing at 293,500. In contrast, BGF Retail experienced an increase, ending the day at 139,300, up 600 points, and LotteChilsung rose to 114,000, gaining 300 points.

The data also indicated that S-Oil fell by 4,800 to 105,300, while KumhoPetrochem and Mobis showed declines of 2,500 and 20,000, respectively. HANWHA AEROSPACE recorded a significant drop of 59,000, closing at 1,249,000. Despite these trends, HMM and S-1 managed to record gains, closing at 19,570 and 85,700, respectively.

Additional companies impacted included HYUNDAI WIA, down 2,900 to 77,100, and SamsungSecu, which fell by 2,300, closing at 92,400. SKTelecom and Hyundai Elevator also faced declines, with decreases of 1,900 and 1,800, respectively. Conversely, LOTTE SHOPPING experienced positive movement, closing at 108,200, up by 800.
