Seoul: the Korea Stock Exchange witnessed a day of varied performances among KOSPI 200 stocks. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp was a significant gainer, rising by 8,500 to 128,700. On the other hand, Hyundai Mipo Dockyard saw a substantial decline, dropping by 1,900 to 69,600. LG Energy Solution also had a notable increase, adding 7,000 to reach 380,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several stocks remained unchanged, including MS IND at 16,730 and KIA CORP at 87,900. Among the decliners, OCI Holdings decreased by 600 to 98,000, and LG Innotek fell by 1,000 to 213,500. The insurance sector saw Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance rise by 1,000 to 237,000.
Other noteworthy movements included POSCO INTERNATIONAL, which climbed by 1,450 to 49,850, and CJ CheilJedang, dropping by 5,000 to 284,500. In the airline industry, Asiana Airlines decreased by 100 to 11,680.
