Seoul: The closing prices of KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange on Thursday revealed a varied performance among major companies. Notable increases were observed in several stocks, although some faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, DOOSAN and SamyangFood were among the top gainers, with DOOSAN rising by KRW 36,000 to close at KRW 890,000, and SamyangFood increasing by KRW 60,000 to reach KRW 1,456,000. Other significant gainers included Hankook and Company, which saw a rise of KRW 2,050 to settle at KRW 29,600, and SLCORP, which increased by KRW 2,200 to close at KRW 40,300. SeAH Steel Holdings and MiwonComcl also recorded notable gains, closing up by KRW 1,900 and KRW 2,200, respectively.
On the other hand, some stocks experienced declines. TaekwangInd saw a substantial decrease of KRW 10,000, closing at KRW 807,000. HANALL BIOPHARMA and CJ CheilJedang also faced decreases, with declines of KRW 1,350 and KRW 1,000, respectively. LG Corp. and LOTTE also ended the day in negative territory, with LG Corp. down by KRW 1,000 and LOTTE down by KRW 550.
Overall, the performance of KOSPI 200 stocks reflected a mix of gains and losses, as investors responded to varying market conditions and company-specific factors.
