SEOUL, Oct. 7 (Yonhap) -- South Korean arms producer LIG Nex1 said Sunday that it plans to showcase its guided weapons system at an annual international defense exposition in Washington this week.
The company said it plans to field 2.75 inch and 130 mm guided rockets as well as its medium range weapons systems for the infantry at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2018 gathering that runs from Monday through Wednesday.
The fair attracts some 600 arms manufacturers from all over the world and is the largest defense-related exposition in North America.
Besides the rockets, the company said it will display an unmanned surface boat at AUSA that has already been successfully tested in South Korea.
"LIG Nex1 aims to promote the advances made by South Korean arms companies at the event and lay the foundation for sales to overseas customers," a corporate source said.
