SEOUL: The closing prices for stocks on the KOSPI 200 index were largely in decline on Tuesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, most companies saw a decrease in their stock prices, although there were a few that managed to buck the trend.
KorZinc closed at 469,000 DN 21,000, and Samsung Heavy Industries ended the day at 6,820 DN 400. Hyundai Mipo Dockyard also saw a significant decline, closing at 69,300 DN 3,100. Conversely, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp saw a marginal increase, closing at 146,400 UP 300. SKC and MIRAE ASSET SEC were among the few that closed in the green, ending at 78,700 UP 3,800 and 6,600 UP 20 respectively.
KEPCO managed to hold its ground with no change in its closing price, ending the day at 16,920. In the meantime, KOREA AEROSPACE experienced a notable drop, closing at 44,200 DN 5,200. On the other end, CJ CheilJedang was among the few that ended with a positive note, closing at 282,500 UP 1,500.
