Moon’s approval rating falls for 3rd straight week to 55 percent: survey

SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- President Moon Jae-in saw his approval rating fall for the third consecutive week to 55 percent, a Gallup Korea survey showed Friday.

The survey of 1,004 people showed Moon's rating dropped 3 percent from last week.

Nearly 60 percent of those with negative views of his performance cited economic problems as a reason. The most cited positive point about him was his handling of relations with North Korea and diplomacy.

Moon's ruling Democratic Party remained atop the list of political parties with an approval rating of 42 percent, followed by the main opposition Liberty Korea Party with 14 percent and the minor opposition Justice Party with 11 percent, the survey showed.
