North Korea Conducts Multiple Cruise Missile Launches from East Coast

SEOUL – North Korea launched several cruise missiles from its east coast on Sunday, as reported by the South Korean military. This event comes shortly after Pyongyang's recent test-firing of new strategic cruise missiles from the west coast.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the launch occurred around 8 a.m. near Sinpo Port. The JCS did not provide further details, stating that an ongoing analysis is underway.

The South Korean military emphasized its heightened surveillance and coordination with the United States in response to the missile launch. They are closely monitoring for additional signs of provocations from North Korea. This recent launch represents North Korea's second cruise missile test this year. The previous launch involved strategic cruise missiles, named Pulhwasal-3-31, which were directed towards the Yellow Sea on Wednesday.
