President Yoon Suk Yeol hosted a dinner meeting with the newly elected leadership of the ruling People Power Party (PPP), including the party’s new leader Han Dong-hoon, to discuss future cooperation and unity within the party.
The dinner, which took place Wednesday evening in the garden of the presidential office, was attended by Han Dong-hoon, the five newly elected Supreme Council members, the party’s floor leader, policy chief, and candidates from the recent leadership election. During the event, President Yoon emphasized the importance of improved communication and cooperation between the government and the ruling party, as well as fostering unity among its members. Han was elected as the new head of the PPP with a decisive 62.8 percent of the vote on Tuesday, outpacing competitors such as former Land Minister Won Hee-ryong and seasoned lawmakers Rep. Na Kyung-won and Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun.
