President Yoon Suk Yeol Establishes New Policy Office for Better Coordination
Seoul – President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea has announced the formation of a new presidential policy office aimed at enhancing coordination with the Cabinet and the ruling People Power Party. The office will focus on policy implementation and economic matters to improve the livelihoods of citizens, according to Kim Eun-hye, the senior secretary for public relations. Lee Kwan-sup, formerly the senior presidential secretary for policy planning, will lead the new office and oversee departments handling economic affairs, social policy, national planning, policy coordination, government information, and speech and communication.
According to Yonhap News Agency, this move is part of President Yoon’s strategy to bolster policy consultation and coordination, ensuring more effective economic policy monitoring and addressing public welfare issues. Additionally, President Yoon plans to create a senior secretary position for science and technology in the coming weeks, further expanding the capabilities of the policy office.
