Ruling party lawmaker to attend Paraguayan president’s inauguration as special envoy

SEOUL, A ruling Democratic Party lawmaker will visit Paraguay in his capacity as special envoy of President Moon Jae-in to attend the inauguration ceremony of the country's new president, Mario Abdo, the party said Thursday.

Rep. Woo Sang-ho will lead a delegation that will also include Rep. Jin Sun-mee of the ruling party and Rep. Yun Jae-ok of the main opposition Liberty Korea Party. They will depart on Sunday for a six-day trip, the party said.

Before attending the inauguration ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, the lawmakers plan to visit the site of a Korean-funded development aid project in the South American nation and hold a meeting with Korean residents there, the party said.
