MOSCOW, Russia and North Korea held talks on Wednesday over their cooperation in trade and the economy, following the second summit between Washington and Pyongyang last week.

During the meeting on cooperation in trade, the economy, science and technology, Russian Minister for the Development of the Far East Alexander Kozlov and North Korea's Minister for External Economic Affairs Kim Yong-jae discussed the ways to boost bilateral economic cooperation.

One of the topics at the meeting was the project to build an automobile bridge connecting the Tumen station in North Korea and the Khasan station in Russia.

The Russia-North Korea meeting came as the United States and North Korea last week failed to strike a deal on the communist state's denuclearization in exchange for the lifting of sanctions.
