SEOUL — Son Heung-min scored his second game-winning goal in a row to further Tottenham Hotspur's undefeated run in the Premier League.
According to a new release by Yonhap News Agency, Son scored in the 71st minute of Tottenham's match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in London, contributing to a 2-1 win. Son had also been pivotal in Tottenham's 2-0 victory over Fulham earlier in the week, where he scored a key goal.
Tottenham began the match against Crystal Palace with a sluggish start but managed to take the lead in the second half. An own goal by Crystal Palace defender Joel Ward and Son's goal put Tottenham ahead. A late goal by Jordan Ayew in stoppage time was not enough for Crystal Palace to recover.
Son's latest goal brings his season tally to eight, putting him just one goal behind the league's leading scorer, Erling Haaland of Manchester City. Son has also contributed one assist this season.
The win against Crystal Palace puts Tottenham at the top of the Premier League table with 26 points in 10 games, maintaining a five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
