South Korea to Provide $3 Million in Aid to Earthquake-Hit Japan

SEOUL - South Korea announced on Thursday that it will provide $3 million worth of humanitarian assistance to Japan's Ishikawa Prefecture, following a devastating earthquake. The Foreign Ministry stated that this aid aims to support recovery efforts and help residents in the affected areas return to their daily lives.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the assistance is in response to the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula and surrounding areas in Ishikawa Prefecture on New Year's Day, resulting in over 200 deaths. This move represents South Korea's commitment to aiding a neighboring country in the aftermath of a natural disaster and strengthening bilateral relations.
