Seoul — President Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet are set to hold a summit in Seoul later this week, focusing on strengthening ties in defense, trade, and other sectors. The announcement came from the presidential office on Monday, outlining the agenda for the upcoming discussions.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hun Manet will embark on a four-day official visit to South Korea starting Wednesday, with the summit scheduled for Thursday. The leaders aim to enhance practical cooperation across various areas, including trade, defense, development, and infrastructure. This meeting follows their previous discussions in Jakarta last September, where they committed to leveraging the South Korea-Cambodia free trade agreement to boost bilateral trade, which hit a record US$1.05 billion in 2022.
