A new Korean TV spot for Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens adds just one new shot of footage, but boy is it a doozy. But perhaps most consequential to Star Wars fandom obsessed with every new piece of Imperial equipment, the new Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens TV spot unveils a brand new Imperial walker. Plus, a little more of one of the main First Order villains in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, General Hux.
Quick! Before it gets taken down watch this new Korean TV spot for Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens:
Mostly this new Star Wars: The Force Awakens TV spot rearranges footage we’ve already seen. But it opens on our best look yet at First Order forces:
The man addressing the First Order stormtroopers is most likely Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux. Hux is backed by Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), easy to pick out of a crowd because of her chrome Stormtrooper helmet.
This new shot from Star Wars: Episode 7 is basically a reverse of a shot from the second Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer (with the big red First Order banner), so we’ve seen a bit of this scene before. But what’s genuinely new in this opening shot to the Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens Korean TV spot are the new walkers visible on the right side of the frame.
The new First Order walkers look a lot like the AT-TE walkers of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, but with the additional height provided by AT-AT legs. We’ll get to see them in action on Dec. 18 when Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens comes out in theaters.
