Steven Harrington’s “Stay Mello” Exhibition Opens in Seoul

SEOUL — Artist and designer Steven Harrington is set to unveil "Stay Mello," his first-ever museum exhibition, at the Amorepacific Museum of Art (APMA) in Seoul. Harrington, during a media event on Tuesday, shared his excitement about the exhibition, which has been years in the making. "Stay Mello" serves as a reminder to remain present during challenging times, drawing inspiration from Harrington's primary character, Mello. The exhibition will display a vast array of Harrington's works, spanning over 15 years and including sculpture, print painting, and video. It features pieces specifically created for the APMA, including a large Mello sculpture that integrates with the museum's architecture, designed by British architect David Chipperfield. Harrington's work is known for its vibrant colors and whimsical characters, and the exhibition aims to tell engaging stories through art and architecture. The exhibition is scheduled to run through July 14.
