FMs of Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan signed a joint cooperation declaration by the end of a tripartite meeting in Tbilisi

The main subject of the meeting was the joint struggle against terrorism, as well as the enhancement of cooperation in that area. Apart from this, the sides considered the transportation and infrastructure projects, specifically the construction of Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, as well as the project of a new Baku International Sea Trade Port.

According to the information of the Georgian MFA, special emphasis was put on the spheres of transportation and energy. "In this regard the implementation of the energy corridor and importance of the functioning of a transportation corridor linking Europe and Asia were mentioned. The Ministers underscored the importance of launching the operations of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, and expressed readiness to continue coordinated actions for the implementation of the "Silk Road," the Ministry's official statement reads.
