The Korean K-Food and Arts Festival at Times Square Shopping Centre ended with 11 lucky spectators walking away with amazing prizes and a performance by Institut Teknologi Brunei’s (ITB) Korean Culture Club.
The last day of the festival was filled with numerous activities, including a cooking demonstration by South Korea’s Choi Yoonmi. There were also eating and “Guess the Ingredients” competitions. The three finalists, who had won the preliminary stages during the first four days of the festival, battled it out during the finals on Wednesday.
Brandon Chin won the eating competition, while Sawaz Ali claimed top prize for “Guess the Ingredients”. Both winners each went home with a BND$50 cash voucher.
A lucky draw was also held for spectators who voted for the best artwork exhibited in the festival. Grand prize winner Thien Yih En brought home a Skin Food cash voucher worth BND$200.
Nur Mohd Syafiee bin Haji Adnani, Adnani bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Nurfaizah Syahirah, Kim DH and Rowena Estani won microwaves sponsored by the Embassy of South Korea. Other prizes included food items from the embassy and cash vouchers from Korean restaurants.
A separate lucky draw was held for the volunteers from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and ITB with five students walking away with gift vouchers.
Also present were Yi Chang Hoon, Second Secretary and Council from Embassy of South Korea, Amal Majidah, General Manager of Times Square Shopping Centre; and Grace Lim, Director of DM Gallery, Korea.
The event was organised by Times Square Shopping Centre, the South Korean Embassy; DM Gallery, Korea Argo Fisheries and Food Trade Corp, Korean Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs.
