Seoul - In a significant move for South Korean football, 18-year-old forward Yang Min-hyeok has signed with Tottenham Hotspur from K League 1 club Gangwon FC, becoming the youngest player from his country to join a Premier League team.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Both clubs confirmed Yang's transfer on Sunday. The young star is set to move to Tottenham in January 2025 and will remain with the club until at least 2030. Yang's performance this season has been impressive, with eight goals and four assists, helping Gangwon challenge for the league title. His addition to Tottenham follows in the footsteps of Son Heung-min, the current Tottenham captain and a fellow South Korean. Despite his young age, Yang has balanced his professional commitments with his education, continuing to attend high school. He has already made history in the K League 1 and will look to impress further during Tottenham's preseason matches in South Korea, where he will play against his future team.
