The match featured critical contributions from second-half substitutes, securing South Korea's third consecutive win in Group B of the third round in the Asian World Cup qualification tournament. According to Yonhap News Agency, Hong Myung-bo was particularly appreciative of the team's overall effort and the sacrifices made by the players, especially those coming off the bench. The match followed a 2-0 victory over Jordan last Thursday in Amman, contributing to South Korea's strong performance in the short October window of the qualifiers. "In terms of organization and chemistry, players in the starting lineup did a great job.
