According to Yonhap News Agency, the decision to postpone the game came after persistent rainfall soaked the field, making it unplayable. The series has seen its second rain delay, with Game 2 also postponed earlier. The ongoing series is critical as the winner will proceed to compete against the top-seeded Kia Tigers in the Korean Series. The Twins secured a narrow 1-0 victory in Game 3, which was crucial after losing the first two games to the Lions in Daegu. The Twins' strategy relied heavily on their pitchers, with starter Im Chan-kyu and reliever Elieser Hernandez managing to restrict the Lions and keep their series hopes alive. Twins manager Youm Kyoung-youb had anticipated the delay and use d it strategically to rest Hernandez, potentially aligning him to pitch again in the rescheduled game.
