KOSPI 200 Index Sees Mixed Movements Amid Varied Stock Performance

SEOUL: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a mixed day of trading, with several companies experiencing notable gains and losses. Stocks such as HYBE and HD HYUNDAI MIPO reported increases, while others like HanmiPharm and Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. faced declines. According to Yonhap News Agency, HYBE's stock increased by 1,700 to close at 196,000, while HD HYUNDAI MIPO rose by 2,300 to end at 107,600. Other companies that saw gains include LS ELECTRIC, which went up by 1,900 to 154,400, and SKTelecom, which increased by 1,200 to close at 57,500. On the other hand, HanmiPharm experienced a significant drop, decreasing by 12,500 to end at 333,000. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. also faced a decline, dropping by 10,500 to close at 324,000. Other companies that saw losses included HDKSOE, which fell by 1,900 to 194,900, and DENTIUM, which decreased by 2,900 to 76,300. The day's varied performances reflect shifts in investor sentiment across different sectors, with particular attention on technology and pharmaceutical stocks.
