Seoul: Hyundai Motor Company announced a 3 percent decrease in its third-quarter net profit, amounting to 3.2 trillion won (approximately $2.3 billion), compared to the same period last year. According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai reported an operating profit of 3.58 trillion won for the quarter, down from 3.82 trillion won a year earlier. Meanwhile, the company's revenue rose by 4.7 percent, reaching 42.92 trillion won. Analysts had anticipated a higher net profit, with the average estimate standing at 3.34 trillion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
