SEOUL: HL Mando Co. on Friday announced a significant financial downturn for the third quarter, reporting a net loss of 49.2 billion won (US$35.4 million) after having posted a profit of 19.3 billion won in the same period last year. This marks a substantial reversal in the company's financial performance over the past year. According to Yonhap News Agency, despite the net loss, HL Mando's operating income for the July-September period saw a slight increase, reaching 82.5 billion won, which is up 1.2 percent from the previous year. Additionally, the company's sales rose by 2.5 percent to 2.17 trillion won, indicating some growth in revenue despite the overall financial setback. The shift to a net loss underscores the challenges HL Mando faced in the third quarter, as the company navigated a complex economic environment. The slight uptick in operating income and sales suggests some areas of operational resilience, but the overall financial results highlight the hurdles that significantly impacted the company 's profitability during this period.
