Lions Manager Reconfigures Lineup Amid Korean Series Struggles

DAEGU: In a bid to invigorate his team, Samsung Lions manager Park Jin-man has restructured the lineup for the third game of the Korean Series, following losses in the first two games of the best-of-seven series against the Kia Tigers. According to Yonhap News Agency, the Lions suffered a 5-1 defeat in Game 1 of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) championship round and fell short again in Game 2 with an 8-3 loss. Despite outhitting the Tigers 12-10 in the second game, the Lions were unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities with runners on base. Manager Park expressed optimism about playing at home and noted the importance of a victory to boost team morale. "We won those games thanks to our power, and we are now back at a place where our players will feel more comfortable," he said. "The vibe around the team isn't that bad, and it will get better if we win tonight." A key focus for Park is the performance of veteran player Park Byung-ho, who has struggled with a 0-for-9 record, including four strike outs over the series. Despite these challenges, Park Byung-ho will continue to bat sixth in the lineup. "He has to carry the team, but I think he is putting a lot of pressure on himself because the whole lineup has been quiet so far," the manager stated. "Hopefully, he can start hitting better at home."
