TOKYO: Senior diplomats from South Korea, Japan, and China are set to meet in Tokyo next week to discuss enhancing trilateral cooperation and to plan a summit involving their respective leaders, anticipated to occur next year. Officials from Seoul confirmed the scheduled talks on Friday, highlighting the importance of these discussions in fostering regional collaboration.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Deputy Foreign Minister Chung Byung-won of South Korea will engage with Japan’s Senior Deputy Foreign Minister Takehiro Funakoshi and China’s Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong. The meeting, slated for Monday in the Japanese capital, aims to evaluate the current state of trilateral cooperation and to chart a course for its future development.
