Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained unchanged across all terms as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates were posted at 11:00 a.m., reflecting stability in the interbank lending market.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the 1-week term stayed at 2.50 percent, consistent with the previous session. The rates for the 1-month and 2-month terms also held steady at 2.61 percent and 2.72 percent, respectively. Similarly, the 3-month term maintained its rate at 2.84 percent, while the 6-month term persisted at 2.92 percent. The rate for the 12-month term showed no change, remaining at 3.19 percent.
The unchanged rates indicate a period of stability in the Korean financial markets, with no immediate fluctuations in the borrowing costs for banks. This stability can be seen as a signal of consistent economic conditions and expectations within the country's financial sector.
