Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of movements during Wednesday's trading session on the main Korea Stock Exchange, with several stocks experiencing significant fluctuations in their closing prices. Among the notable gainers, OCI Holdings and LS Electric both saw a substantial rise of 25,500 KRW, closing at 240,000 KRW and 263,500 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, SamsungF and MIns increased by 5,000 KRW, reaching a closing price of 623,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also enjoyed upward trends. CJ saw its stock rise by 5,300 KRW to a closing price of 160,000 KRW, and HyundaiEng and Const climbed by 4,800 KRW to 119,000 KRW. S-Oil and KIA CORP. also reported gains, with their stocks increasing by 3,200 KRW and 3,500 KRW, closing at 109,600 KRW and 141,500 KRW, respectively.
However, certain stocks faced declines. LG Innotek experienced a significant drop of 74,000 KRW, ending the session at 907,000 KRW. Similarly, SK hynix saw a substantial decrease of 90,000 KRW, closing at 2,560,000 KRW. Other companies such as HyundaiMtr and SAMSUNG C and T also recorded downturns, with decreases of 7,500 KRW and 34,500 KRW, closing at 487,500 KRW and 434,000 KRW, respectively.
The varied performance of stocks underscores the dynamic nature of the trading environment on the Korea Stock Exchange, reflecting a mix of investor sentiments and market conditions.
