Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung is set to hold summit talks with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong on Sunday to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in security and technology, the presidential office stated. Wong is currently on an official visit to South Korea and has participated in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit and other related events in Gyeongju last week.
According to Yonhap News Agency, during the discussions at the presidential office, the two leaders are expected to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas such as security, trade and investment, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and energy transition. The summit aims to foster deeper ties between the two nations in critical sectors.
Both parties are also set to sign a memorandum of understanding and jointly announce the outcomes of their discussions after the summit. The meeting will be capped with a luncheon hosted by President Lee, as confirmed by the presidential office.
