Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited a range of movements as several companies recorded significant gains, while others faced declines. Among the top performers, DOOSAN marked a substantial increase, closing at 787,000, up by 17,000. In the tech sector, LG Innotek experienced a notable rise, closing at 283,000, up by 14,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KumhoPetrochem also saw a significant uptick, ending at 138,700, which was an increase of 3,200. POSCO FUTURE M and Samsung SDS both reported upward shifts, closing at 196,000 and 182,700 respectively. Meanwhile, SK hynix and DAEWOONG PHARM encountered declines, with SK hynix closing at 738,000, down by 11,000, and DAEWOONG PHARM at 167,700, down by 3,000.
Other noteworthy gainers included Korea Aerospace and L and F, which closed at 157,300 and 117,300, respectively. In contrast, Hyundai M and F INS and Taihan Cable and Solution saw decreases, closing at 26,450 and 26,500, respectively.
Overall, the trading session reflected varied performances across different sectors, highlighting the dynamic nature of the stock market.
