North Korea Progresses in Designating Ju-ae as Successor

Seoul: North Korea appears to have entered the stage of designating leader Kim Jong-un's daughter, Ju-ae, as his successor, the nation's spy agency revealed to lawmakers.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) shared this assessment during a closed-door briefing with the parliamentary intelligence committee. Representatives Park Sun-won and Lee Seong-kweun informed reporters about the agency's insights. Lee mentioned that Ju-ae has been increasingly visible at significant events, such as the founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army and her visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun. There have also been indications of her expressing opinions on specific state policies, leading the NIS to conclude that she is now in the process of being designated as Kim Jong-un's successor.

The spy agency further stated its intention to monitor Ju-ae's potential attendance at North Korea's key party congress scheduled for later this month.
