Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index demonstrated notable upward movement as a range of stocks closed with gains. HD Hyundai's stock price increased to 275,000, marking an upswing of 13,500. Similarly, Hanchem experienced a rise, closing at 293,500 with an increase of 10,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant increases included Samsung Life, which climbed to 214,000, reflecting an increase of 16,500. LG Chem also saw a substantial boost, closing at 324,500, up by 17,500. Meanwhile, SK's stock rose sharply to 359,500, up by 29,500, and Korea Aerospace reached 179,000, marking an increase of 20,500.
In addition, Hyundai Rotem experienced a rise of 23,500, closing at 225,500, while KIH went up by 24,000 to reach a closing price of 230,500. Celltrion also saw a positive change, closing at 211,500, up by 14,100. Hyundai Glovis reported a significant gain, ending at 246,500, an increase of 14,500.
Other notable movements included NAVER's stock increasing to 220,000 with a gain of 12,000 and Samsung SDS rising to 166,900, up by 10,700. LG H and H also recorded gains, closing at 235,500, up by 10,500. These upward trends across the board highlight a robust performance for the KOSPI 200 index on the trading day.
