Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance as several companies registered gains, while a few saw a decline in their stock prices. Leading the upward trend, KumhoPetrochem saw a significant increase, closing at 122,900, up by 7,800. Hyundai WIA also reported a substantial rise, closing at 86,300, up by 5,100. Mobis followed with a gain, ending at 412,500, up by 11,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also experienced notable gains. Samsung Electronics Holdings showed a positive trend, closing at 525,000, up by 10,000. SK's stocks rose to 340,000 with an increase of 9,500, while Korea Aerospace moved up to 202,000, with an increase of 10,800. KIWOOM and Hanon Systems also closed higher, with KIWOOM reaching 444,000, up by 14,000, and Hanon Systems closing at 4,095, up by 95.
However, there were some declines noted in the index. HANWHA AEROSPACE saw a decrease, closing at 1,396,000, down by 80,000. NCsoft and Doosan Enerbility also witnessed a drop, closing at 224,500, down by 1,500, and 104,400, down by 1,300, respectively. Despite these declines, the overall sentiment in the market remained positive with more companies showing upward momentum.
