Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with notable gains, reflecting positive movement across several key stocks. HD-Hyundai Marine Engine saw an increase of 500 to close at 80,700. Hanwha Engine also experienced a rise, closing at 49,450 with an increment of 200. Meanwhile, GS recorded a significant jump of 2,300, ending the day at 66,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HYUNDAIDEPTST surged by 1,600 to close at 88,700, while LIG Nex1 experienced a drop of 16,000, settling at 689,000. KIH and HYUNDAIGLOVIS both saw substantial increases, closing at 241,000 and 236,500 respectively, with an increase of 7,500 each. HANAFINANCIALGR rose by 4,600 to finish at 114,500, and Hanwha Life climbed 460 to end at 5,250.
AMOREPACIFIC saw an increase of 2,900, closing at 135,600. FOOSUNG and KEPCO E and C also noted gains, with FOOSUNG up by 50 at 7,220, and KEPCO E and C up 1,700, closing at 172,300. ShinhanGroup ended the day at 95,000, marking an increase of 3,800. LG H and H rose by 2,500 to 245,500, and SANIL ELECTRIC had a notable rise of 15,100, ending at 154,900.
DAEWOONG PHARM saw a decline, dropping 2,800 to close at 162,200. On the brighter side, LGCHEM climbed 12,500 to finish at 320,000. KEPCO KPS and LGELECTRONICS also recorded gains, with KEPCO KPS ending at 60,300, up by 1,000, and LGELECTRONICS closing at 120,000, up by 5,500. L and F rose by 1,200 to close at 111,300, and Celltrion was up by 3,500, ending at 209,500.
HYUNDAI ROTEM barely moved, closing at 193,000 with a rise of just 100. LG CNS increased by 200, ending at 66,800, and WooriFinancialGroup rose by 900, closing at 33,500. SK Innovation saw a gain of 3,400, finishing at 114,300. POONGSAN experienced a slight decrease, closing at 102,400 with a drop of 100.
KBFinancialGroup gained 4,000 to close at 154,700, while Youngone Corp rose by 1,900 to end at 87,800. CSWIND and GKL saw smaller gains, with CSWIND up 1,000 at 59,100 and GKL up by 40, closing at 12,250. KOLON IND rose by 900 to finish at 71,000, and SD Biosensor saw an increase of 170, closing at 8,070.
iM Financial Group and BNK Financial Group also noted positive movements, closing at 16,990 and 18,760, with gains of 410 and 280 respectively. Meritz Financial rose by 4,600 to end at 115,800, and emart increased by 1,100, closing at 96,300. HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY recorded an increase of 1,600, closing at 57,900, while KOLMAR KOREA rose by 100, ending at 70,300. HanmiPharm saw a notable increase of 11,000, closing at 531,000.
