Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a day of mixed performances, with several companies seeing notable gains while others experienced declines. Leading the charge was HD Hyundai, which saw its stock rise by 7,000 to reach a closing price of 275,500. The market also noted significant upward movement for Doosan, closing at 1,189,000, up by 79,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric also made impressive gains, with its stock increasing by 43,000 to close at 974,000. Other notable increases included Samsung C and T, which climbed 19,500 to close at 299,000, and KCC, rising by 28,000 to end the day at 558,000. SKSQUARE also saw a substantial boost, with a rise of 43,000, finishing at 630,000.
Despite these gains, some companies faced declines. Asia Holdings experienced a drop of 5,500, closing at 282,000, while SeAH Steel Holdings decreased by 2,200, ending at 169,800. Netmarble also saw a decline, with its stock dropping by 1,100 to 53,700. In addition, BGF Retail and SKBS experienced minor decreases, closing at 121,400 and 43,500, respectively.
The market showed varied performances across different sectors. Companies like Chongkundang and SKBP saw slight declines, while others such as HyundaiAutoever and SK ie technology posted gains, closing at 434,000 and 22,650, respectively. The diversity in stock movements highlights the dynamic nature of the KOSPI 200 index.
