Lee Young-ae and Yoo Ji-tae Reunite After 25 Years for New Mystery Romance Series

Seoul: Actors Lee Young-ae and Yoo Ji-tae will star in a new television series, reuniting for the first time in 25 years since the 2001 hit film "One Fine Spring Day," the drama's production company said Monday. The series promises to bring a blend of mystery and romance to the screen, with a storyline that delves into themes of grief and memory loss.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Korean title of the series translates into "Jae-e's Young-in" and centers around the character Jae-e, played by Lee Young-ae, who is an art teacher mourning the death of her son. Yoo Ji-tae takes on the role of Young-in, an architect who is struggling with memory loss. The production company, IWill Media, has yet to reveal further details about the broadcaster and production schedule.

The drama marks Lee Young-ae's return to television since her role in the KBS 2025 thriller "Walking on Thin Ice." Meanwhile, Yoo Ji-tae was last seen in the historical movie "The King's Warden," where he portrayed Han Myeong-hoe, a key aide to King Sejo. The series will be directed by Oh Ki-hwan, known for directing the 2005 romantic comedy "The Art of Seduction."
