HD Hyundai Samho Secures 349.8 Billion-Won LPG Ship Order from Greece

Seoul: HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. announced on Friday that it has obtained a 349.8 billion-won (US$232 million) contract to construct two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers for a Greek shipping company. The company disclosed in a regulatory filing that these LPG ships are scheduled for delivery to the undisclosed client by March 2029.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Samho is among the three shipbuilding affiliates under HD Korea Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co. (HD KSOE). The other two affiliates are HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. and HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. HD KSOE serves as a subholding company of HD Hyundai Co., which is recognized as South Korea's leading shipbuilding group.

HD KSOE has set a target to secure $23.31 billion in orders this year, which marks an increase from the $18.16 billion achieved last year.
