The foreign ministry's website briefly went down friday following a distributed denial-of-service (ddos) attack before being restored:f-service (DDoS) attack before being restored, the ministry said. After the DDoS attack on the website at around 5 p.m., the ministry took responsive measures, which led to restricted access, according to the ministry.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the ministry coordinated with the National Information Resources Service to block the attack, ensuring that the website resumed normal operations. A DDoS attack deploys a large number of infected devices to overwhelm a target server or website with a massive volume of traffic.
